IEEE R10 Humanitarian Hackathon 2017 – Bangladesh

The hackathon was targeted to inspire young undergraduate students to involve in humanitarian technologies those can readily serve their community. Humanitarian project areas were provided: Health, Education, Transportation, Power and Energy, Communication, Environment, Social Aspects, Disaster. 10 teams participated in the final round. They have explained the community problem which they wanted to solve. They demonstrated detail solutions with justification. Judges interacted with them and provided them feedback. All the teams were given 3 hours time to modify the proposed solution and then judges have evaluated the modified projects. Final round was held during 5th IEEE R10-HTC conference. Top teams with their developed projects during hackathon were given an opportunity to present their project during the conference. Based on the proposed solution judges have selected top 3 teams. Prize money and Crests were provided to top three teams. Details are given below

1st Runner Up – Bangladesh – World University
2nd Runner – Phantom – University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh
